Frequency: Quarterly reviews
$20,000 - $75,000 is provided to youth education programs with a specific focus on the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects.
American Power Foundation (AR, IN, KY, LA, MI, OH, OK, TN, TX, VA, and WV)
Funds programs designed to improve lives through education from early childhood through higher education.
Frequency: Rolling
Wells Fargo
Wells Fargo supports educational programs, in particular states across the U.S., that promote academic achievement for low to moderate income preK-12 students in math and science, literacy, and history of the American West.
Frequency: grants are determined by August 31 each year
The Mott Foundation’s Pathways Out of Poverty program supports initiatives around the U.S. that promote learning beyond the classroom especially for traditionally underserved children and youth — as a strategy for improving public education. More info here.
NEA Foundation
$2,000 or $5,000 is provided to improve the academic achievement of students in U.S. public schools and public higher education institutions in any subject area(s).

Grants requests of less than $5000: Apply any time

Grants requests of more than $5000: Deadline February 1st and August 1st each year
$5,000 or more is provided to teachers who are passionate about making science and mathematics more engaging for their students.
Title III grants support school districts in teaching English to limited English proficient students and in helping these students meet the same challenging state standards required of all students.
Dollar General Literacy Foundation
$4,000 is provided to assist in implementing new or expanding existing literacy programs and purchasing new technology or equipment to support literacy initiatives.
